De Rerum Natura

Our craftsmen at the Harcourt Bindery created this designed binding on a new translation of De Rerum Natura by Lucretius.  The concept of the heavens was used to capture the scope of the volume, and the stars which look so randomly placed yield the title among an orderly chaos.  As a prank, the stars arranged on the cover are the astrological sign of Ares, the Ram, under which the translator of this edition was born."

Dear Sam,

It's gorgeous! Janet thinks it is one of your best--and there's lots of excellent competition.

Thanks, David
